Our specialist client is currently recruiting an Integrated Supply Program Manager who will be responsible for a group of corporate customers in the Midlands. Other sites will include Liverpool and Southend. You will oversee and manage the MRO and Factory Consumables Integrated Supply Program for the assigned group of customers to ensure all contractual deliverables are achieved and ensure that inventory managed within the program is managed effectively with stock levels being maintained and that inventory and spot buy purchases are managed in a timely and effective manner. Please note this role also requires the successful candidate to travel frequently to customer locations within the designated region including overnight stays several times each month.
Responsibilities
- Manage allocated Integrated Supply Programs and ensure all program deliverables are achieved.
- Drive performance to maintain profitable sales and work with the customers to identify additional scope for the program.
- Oversee and effectively manage the Engineering / Maintenance and Factory Consumables Storeroom, ensuring best practices are deployed and maintained.
- Ensure compliance to all customer and company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Liaise with the company Buyers to ensure timely and effective processing of inventory replenishment and ad-hoc (spot buy) purchase orders.
- Ensure all nonconforming deliveries and invoice queries are dealt with effectively.
- Ensure that Buyers are driving competitive pricing and supporting the delivery of ongoing cost savings.
- Drive Total Cost of Ownership Savings to meet or exceed contractual obligations.
- Interact with customer stakeholders and resolve all customer issues / requests.
- Report program performance through prescheduled and ad-hoc meetings, calls and other means of communication.
- Manage Projects in a task and time bound format.
Experience and Skills
- Experience of working within manufacturing environments and with knowledge of engineering / maintenance discipline.
- Good knowledge of engineering / maintenance and factory consumables.
- Good knowledge of storeroom operations & inventory management processes and procedures.
- Good knowledge of Procurement and Supply Chain (MRO / Facilities Maintenance).
- Numerate with a mind for ensuring accurate detail.
- Experienced in the identification and execution of Total Cost of Ownership improvement within a manufacturing environment (Price Reduction, Product Substitution, Product Rationalisation, Cost of Quality Improvement).
- Strong leadership and team mentoring skills.
- Strong Project Management skills.
- Current Driving License essential as frequent travel will be required.
