Brightwork are delighted to support a key client in the appointment of a Finance Manager based in Perth. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a site-based finance function, playing a key role in driving financial performance, control, and operational decision-making.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will lead the site finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, strong balance sheet control, and effective leadership of a small on-site team. You'll work closely with operational and commercial stakeholders, providing insight and support to the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Control & Reporting
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met with high-quality outputs
- Produce and review management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain robust balance sheet control and governance
- Investigate and explain financial variances with clear commentary
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and controls
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
- Deliver accurate forecasts aligned to business drivers
- Develop KPI reporting to support performance tracking
- Leadership & Team Management
- Manage, coach, and develop a small finance team
- Build a high-performing and engaged team environment
- Allocate workloads effectively to meet deadlines
- Business Partnering
- Work closely with stakeholders to provide financial insight
- Translate financial data into clear, actionable information
- Support cost control and financial planning
- Systems, Processes & Risk
- Oversee transactional accuracy within finance systems
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Ensure strong financial controls and mitigate risks
About You
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- Professionally qualified or working towards (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
- Strong financial reporting and balance sheet experience
- Experience managing or mentoring team members
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with finance systems
