We are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Drivers to join our team at our client's site in Livingston. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking for ongoing, full-time work with a well-established operation. This role involves multi-drop store deliveries, unloading and loading cages using a tail lift.

This is a full-time night shift position working 5 shifts out of 7, starting between 17:00 and 19:00 with most shifts running up to 12 hours. The pay starts at £17, with additional allowances for hours worked between 6pm and 6am.

Your Time at Work

  • As a Class 1 HGV Driver, your duties will include:
  • Class 1 store deliveries.
  • Transporting goods to various retail store locations across Scotland.
  • Guarantee punctual and secure deliveries of products, while strictly following traffic and safety protocols.
  • Loading and unloading cages using a tail lift.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to organise deliveries and achieve deadlines with effectiveness.
  • Accurately document deliveries and fulfil paperwork obligations.
  • Liaise with store staff providing a high level of customer service.

  • Our Ideal Driver will have:
  • Valid HGV Class 1 licence with relevant CPC certification and Tacho card.
  • Proven experience as an HGV Class 1 driver.
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance.
  • Customer service and communication skills for liaising with customers and other team members.

You will be required to pass a driving assessment before starting in this role.

Key Information and Benefits

  • Earn up to £20.17 per hour, with overtime (from 6th shift) paid at £22.91.
