Do you enjoy working outdoors and take pride in keeping community spaces safe and fun? We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Operative / Driver to join a local authority team in Renfrewshire. This is a vital role ensuring that play parks and recreational areas are safe, well-maintained, and ready for families to enjoy.

Your Time at Work

  • Driving a 7.5t vehicle (CPC and C1 licence needed)
  • Inspections: Conducting safety checks on play equipment and recording findings via an app.
  • Maintenance: Carrying out minor repairs, such as replacing worn components, lubricating moving parts, and basic assembly/dismantling of equipment.
  • Surface Care: Repairing rubber "wetpour" surfaces and raking woodchip areas.
  • Grounds Work: Litter picking, leaf blowing, graffiti removal, and touch-up painting.
  • Tool Use: Operating hand and power tools including drills, angle grinders, and stihl saws.

Our Perfect Worker

  • Driving Licence: A valid C1 licence with CPC is preferred but not essential as there are also non-driving duties available.
  • Experience: A background in outdoor maintenance, landscaping, or a trade-based role using power tools.
  • Compliance: You must be able to pass a Basic Disclosure check.
  • Attitude: A safety-first mindset and the ability to work independently in all Scottish weather!

Key Information and Benefits

  • Pay Rate: £14.68 per hour (£543.13 per week)
  • Hours: 37 hours per week | Monday - Friday (No weekends!)
  • Duration: Temporary (Approx. 2 months with potential for extension)
