Brightwork are currently working on behalf of our client, a well-established healthcare organisation to recruit a Maintenance Plumber to join their Estates team covering Oban and the wider North Argyll estate.
The successful candidate will be required to take part in an on-call rota, each on-call week consists of 9 sessions (evenings and weekends) and is paid per session, with any call-outs paid at enhanced rates of 1.5x standard pay and double time on public holidays. The role is 36 hours per week, with working hours set as Monday to Thursday, 08:00-16:00, and Friday, 08:00-14:30.
The purpose of this role is to carry out maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, boilers and water systems to ensure safe and compliant operation across estate properties.
- Maintain and repair heating systems, boilers and pipework
- Diagnose faults and resolve plumbing issues (leaks, blockages, system failures)
- Perform planned maintenance and reactive repairs via helpdesk requests
- Install and modify plumbing systems to agreed specifications
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and water hygiene regulations
- Support general building maintenance where required
- Participate in on-call rota for emergency response
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a plumbing position within a facilities, building services or estates function
- Working in confined spaces, plant areas, and live environments
- Experience working in a multi-site or complex environment is advantageous
