We are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Drivers to join our team at our client's site in Livingston. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking for ongoing, full-time work with a well-established operation. This role involves multi-drop store deliveries, unloading and loading cages using a tail lift.
This is a full-time position working 5 shifts out of 7, starting between 05:00 and 09:00 with most shifts running up to 12 hours. The pay starts at £17, with additional allowances for hours worked between 6pm and 6am. Night shifts are also available if preferred.
Your Time at Work
- Class 1 store deliveries.
- Transporting goods to various retail store locations across Scotland.
- Guarantee punctual and secure deliveries of products, while strictly following traffic and safety protocols.
- Loading and unloading cages using a tail lift.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to organise deliveries and achieve deadlines with effectiveness.
- Accurately document deliveries and fulfil paperwork obligations.
- Liaise with store staff providing a high level of customer service.
Our Perfect Worker
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with relevant CPC certification and Tacho card.
- Proven experience as an HGV Class 1 driver.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance.
- Customer service and communication skills for liaising with customers and other team members.
You will be required to pass a driving assessment before starting in this role.
