Our client is a fast-growing, innovative canned cocktails business based in South West Edinburgh. They produce premium ready-to-drink beverages for both UK and international markets and are now seeking a talented Demand & Supply Planner to join their dynamic operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, efficient production planning, and effective supplier management within a rapidly expanding FMCG environment. The Role
The Demand & Supply Planner will be responsible for coordinating procurement, managing production schedules, and ensuring materials and finished goods are available to meet demand. You\'ll work closely with suppliers, production teams, and internal stakeholders to maintain efficient supply chain performance and support the company\'s growth. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts to support production and procurement planning.
Create and manage weekly and monthly production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of finished products.
Manage procurement of raw materials, packaging, and ingredients, ensuring stock availability while optimising working capital.
Source and negotiate with suppliers, agreeing rates, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve best value and reliability.
Analyse inventory levels and lead times to ensure production continuity and minimise waste.
Work closely with internal teams including Production, NPD, Sales, and Logistics to align supply with demand forecasts.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within planning, procurement, and supply chain functions.
About You Previous experience in demand/supply planning, procurement, or production scheduling within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with suppliers and internal teams.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
A team player who thrives in a collaborative, growth-focused business.
