We are recruiting for Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our team at our client's waste management site based in Cumbernauld. There are a number of opportunities available for experienced drivers looking for ongoing, full-time work with a well-established operation. The roles involve a mix of driving and on-site duties, operating specialist walking floor equipment, and supporting day-to-day site activity.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday with a 6:00am start. The pay rate for this role is between £13.42 and £15 per hour dependent on experience. Overtime is available after 8 hours. We currently have requirements for multiple Class 2 roles including Tipper Trucks, Trade Waste, and Skip Drivers.
Your Time at Work
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle to transport waste materials
- Operating machinery safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading materials in line with site procedures
- Completing daily vehicle and equipment checks
- Ensuring all loads are secure and legally compliant
- Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records
- Following all on-site and road safety regulations
- Supporting general site duties where required
Our Perfect Worker
- A valid Class 2 (C) licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Experience within a waste management role is preferred but can accept similar experience, for example multi-drop
- A good understanding of health and safety within an industrial environment
- The ability to carry out manual handling tasks
- A reliable and punctual approach to work
- The ability to work independently with a professional attitude
