Job Description We are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Drivers to join our team at our client's waste management site based in Cumbernauld .
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking for ongoing, full-time work with a well-established operation.
This role involves a mix of driving and on-site duties, operating specialist walking floor equipment, and supporting day-to-day site activity.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday with a 6:00am start.
The pay rate for this role is £15 to £17 per hour, with overtime available after 8 hours .
Your Time at Work In this combined role, your duties will include: Driving a Class 1 vehicle to transport waste materials Operating walking floor equipment safely and efficiently Loading and unloading materials in line with site procedures Completing daily vehicle and equipment checks Ensuring all loads are secure and legally compliant Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records Following all on-site and road safety regulations Supporting general site duties where required Our Perfect Worker Our ideal Class 1 Driver will have: A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card Experience with walking floor or similar equipment preferred A good understanding of health and safety within an industrial environment The ability to carry out manual handling tasks A reliable and punctual approach to work The ability to work independently with a professional attitude A flexible and hands-on approach Key Information and Benefits Earn £15 to £17 per hour depending on experience Monday to Friday working pattern Overtime available after 8 hours Full-time, ongoing work Weekly pay Training and induction provided Opportunity for permanent employment Supportive and established team environment About Brightwork Brightwork Ltd offers the services of an employment agency for permanent roles and an employment business for temporary roles.
