You will have a broad range of duties and responsibilities, supporting product development and manufacture and supporting all internal and external stakeholder groups in relation to initiatives across production, continuous improvement and project execution. You will be an experienced Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer who thrives in dynamic manufacturing environments and is passionate about driving operational excellence particularly within a medium to heavy engineering, manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Take combined ownership for ensuring all product development and manufacture meets company, client and regulatory / industry requirements.
- Support new product introductions, ensuring processes and documentation are ready for production.
- Lead, support and manage product development to ensure all organisational targets are achieved in relation to quality, cost and delivery.
- Lead, support and manage corrective actions with all stakeholder groups using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Identify and implement process improvements across production and subcontract suppliers.
- Manage and update CAD drawings, technical documentation, and work instructions.
- Optimize line balancing and production flow to enhance efficiency and support NPI success.
- Analyse process data to identify trends, root causes, and corrective actions.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement using Lean and problem-solving tools.
Ideally degree qualified within Industrial, Production, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, you will be a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with proven experience in managing all elements of Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering. You will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to demonstrate excellent communication, leadership and team collaboration abilities. Well skilled in mechanical assembly and proficient in CAD, ideally with Creo/3D CAD expertise you will have an in-depth working knowledge of NPI processes with PFMEA experience. Previous project management experience would be a distinct advantage.
