We are seeking dedicated Cask Handlers to join our clients well established business, within their warehouses in Beith. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of casks, ensuring smooth operations within the team. Working Hours: – Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:15 PM – Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM – Total Weekly Hours: 37 hours Hourly Rate: – Training Period (4 weeks): £13.13 per hour – Post-Training: £19.18 per hour Key Responsibilities: – Load & Unload Materials: Safely handle and transport materials from lorries and containers, ensuring safe loading and unloading practices. – Forklift Operation: Operate forklifts and other machinery to move heavy items efficiently. – Pallet Construction & Dispatch: Build pallets, prepare shipments for dispatch, and follow company guidelines for packaging and labelling. – Material Handling: Engage in tasks such as sorting, stacking, and storing products in designated warehouse areas. – Maintain Cleanliness & Safety: Keep a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and operational efficiency. – Assist in Shipping & Receiving: Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring all deliveries and collections are processed accurately. – Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure tasks are completed on time while adhering to safety standards. Skills & Experience required for the role: – Previous Warehouse Experience: Experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred. – Mechanical Knowledge: Strong mechanical understanding is a plus for troubleshooting and operating equipment. – FLT License: A forklift license is beneficial, but not essential. – Warehouse Management Systems: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) will be considered an advantage. – Physical Capability: Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely. – Organisational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate inventory records. – Teamwork & Communication: A proactive approach to teamwork and clear communication is key to success in this role.
