Our client is currently recruiting a SHEQ Advisor who will collaborate closely with the SHEQ Manager in developing and implementing effective and achievable HSE plans, systems, processes, and procedures. You will actively contribute to the SHEQ department's support and assistance within our client's industrial plants.
Responsibilities include:
- Visiting each depot and, where applicable, transient activities regularly (minimum weekly basis) checking compliance on items such as fire, first aid, housekeeping, risk assessment, PTW, equipment inspections and the like.
- Carrying out internal audits of compliance duties and inspection readiness for each ISO standard held or aspired to for each depot and division assigned to them, ensuring any findings or recommendations are actioned.
- Supporting the SHEQ Manager in conducting regular reviews on health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- NEBOSH General Certificate. Note: Candidates who have achieved the IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) will be considered with the provision that successful completion of the NEBOSH General Certificate is achieved within their first year of employment.
- As a minimum, experience with operational safety including completion of risk assessments and procedural documentation.
- Experience and knowledge in incident investigation and root causal analysis.
- Good knowledge of HSE legislation.
- Strong PC and technical knowledge and skills with an excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Teams.
Full-time role based in Carryduff with regular travel to Downpatrick site.
