Are you an experienced Care Home Chef with excellent knowledge of textured diets and allergens? We want to hear from you. Our client, in Glasgow, is looking for exceptional chefs to deliver delicious, healthy meals to its residents whilst maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Your Role:

  • Create well-balanced, nutritious menus that cater to all dietary requirements
  • Prepare and cook meals, with attention to texture, flavour and nutritional value
  • Monitor and control portion sizes to meet nutritional guidelines and accommodate dietary needs
  • Strictly adhere to hygiene and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and sanitised kitchen
  • Ensure your own personal hygiene is of the highest standard
  • Maintain and control stock, equipment and materials
  • Work alongside the Care Home Manager to continually foster improvements in service
  • Maintain accurate records of temperature checks, meal plans, food inventory, and resident dietary preferences

Our Candidates:

  • Proven record in a care home setting is mandatory.
  • Must be able to supply an up to date food safety level 2 or 3 certificate.
  • PVG membership number must be provided for renewal.
  • Candidates must be able to cope with all resident dietary requirements and maintain professionalism at all times.

For you:

  • Your rate of pay will start at £16 per hour and will be paid to you on a weekly basis.
  • Your holiday pay will be accrued on top of your hourly rate.
