Brightwork’s client is currently recruiting a Site Leader who will have overall accountability for the compliant and efficient operation of their northern sites. You will be responsible for the Profit & Loss Account for all aspects of their business operation; setting and meeting (or exceeding) site budgets; data collation and assessment of trends will be fundamental to driving a data led decision making culture; ensuring site KPI’s are set, monitored and corrective actions are in place to ensure targets are met. Responsibilities Provide business case for developments and deliver Capital Expenditure Requirements for the client’s sites. Discuss, review and agree action on data driven site performance assessment with Production Team Leaders, escalating any requirements or risks to the Head of Operations. Prepare and present weekly and Monthly reports to the Head of Operations with variation commentary and plan of action to address deviation from plan (Inputs, Outputs, Yield/Efficiency, Reliability. Leading by example, drive, promote and ensure a culture within the Operations team where safe working practices and quality policies & procedures are documented and are strictly followed to ensure compliance with all legal and internal requirements. Promote and ensure a proactive approach to the implementation of Companywide safety recommendations across the site. Leading by example, drive a culture within the site of ‘Don’t Walk By’ (DWB), Work Safe/Home Safe. Accountability for ensuring site adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. This includes, but not limited to, COMAH, OFGEM, ROCS, RHI, GGCS, FMSQ, ISCC, PAS110, ISO standards. Skills and Experience Proven experience within a related operation, working at senior leadership level leading teams of 10+ people, in a modern dynamic manufacturing business, ideally having led leaders from different functions. Previous experience of dealing with third party governing authorities e.g. SEPA, HSE, and other comparable external governance/auditing bodies Direct or indirect experience of the operation of an engineering maintenance function Leadership and soft skills training and experience Financial management training and experience Operational knowledge and experience within a production or manufacturing sector, ideally within or relatable to the renewable energy sector. Direct experience of defining, implementing, and controlling operations strategy, objectives and budgets. Experience of full responsibility for the management of the P&L Account of a similar sized business. Strongly developed SHEQ Compliance skills and understanding of the importance of a highly developed culture of safe working within an operations environment Full UK Driving Licence This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving and growing business.
