Suntory Global Spirits – Multi-skilled Technician Established in 1795, with a workforce in excess of 6000 employees and product sales in over 69 countries, Suntory Global Spirits are the proud producers of globally iconic brands including Laphroaig & Bowmore Whisky, Jim Beam Bourbon & Roku Gin. The role – Multi-skilled Technician Based in the scenic and picturesque Island of Islay, and from the Bowmore and Laphroaig distilleries, you will be responsible for undertaking all elements of Maintenance Engineering within a dynamic, fast paced production environment. Your duties and responsibilities will include; Fault finding Emergency breakdown and repair Planned Preventative Maintenance New plant and equipment installation as required Continuous Improvement You will have undertaken a traditional apprenticeship, ideally possessing an HNC qualification (or equivalent) within a relevant discipline. You will have experience as a Multi-Skilled Technician, however full consideration will be given should you have an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background and have a genuine desire to expand your capabilities into a multi-skilled role where comprehensive training will be provided accordingly. You will have proven experience managing all elements of plant and equipment maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing, production or associated environment, FMCG or associated sectors preferred. You will be able to demonstrate first class fault finding and plant repair experience with a working knowledge of a broad range of fast moving production plant and equipment. Direct experience of PLCs, industrial controls and instrumentation would be a distinct advantage.
