Brightwork's client is currently recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide variety of plant machinery with a focus on reactive and planned preventive maintenance. Please note that this role will be based on a continental shift system – days, backs and nights.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all Safety, Health & Environmental procedures and ensure work complies with site policies and work instructions.
  • Rapidly diagnose and repair equipment faults, particularly electrical issues, minimising downtime and ensuring safe reinstatement of service.
  • Execute both proactive and reactive maintenance tasks in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the plant and suggest new methods and procedures.
  • Complete all documentation to a high standard.
  • Carry out basic facility and site service maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

  • Time served electrical apprenticeship.
  • Strong experience in fault finding, diagnostics, and root cause analysis, particularly with electrical systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety practices in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
  • A flexible, team-oriented attitude with the ability to adapt to different tasks and shifts as required.
  • Knowledge in continuous improvement and new working methods.
