We are supporting an established Ayrshire law firm seeking an experienced Legal Secretary with a background in residential conveyancing/property to join their busy team. The Role
As a Legal Secretary within the conveyancing team, you will play a key role in supporting fee earners and ensuring files progress smoothly from instruction through to completion. Daily responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and formatting legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail
- Managing correspondence, client updates, and file administration
- Using the firm's case management system to maintain and update records
- Audio typing and digital dictation
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, lenders, and other third parties
- Supporting colleagues with diary management, scanning, filing, and general office duties
- Assisting on reception when required
About You
- Experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within conveyancing/property
- Confident typing and audio typing skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and general IT systems
- Excellent communication skills and a professional manner with clients
