We are supporting a well-established Edinburgh Law Firm in their search for a Legal Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the legal sector. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience, work alongside experienced legal professionals, and play an important role in supporting residential property transactions from instruction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting solicitors and the wider conveyancing team with residential property transactions
  • Opening, maintaining and updating client files
  • Preparing legal correspondence and documentation
  • Liaising with clients, lenders, estate agents, solicitors and other third parties
  • Managing incoming emails and assisting with transaction progression
  • Updating case management systems and ensuring records are accurate
  • Providing general administrative support to the legal team
  • Delivering a high standard of client service throughout the conveyancing process

About You

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Professional and confident when communicating with clients and colleagues
  • A strong verbal and written communicator
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and eager to learn
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
  • Interested in developing a career within the legal profession

Previous legal or conveyancing experience would be advantageous, but is not essential. Candidates with strong administrative skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in the legal sector are encouraged to apply.
