Maintenance Electrician

The Role
An opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to support the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment through planned and reactive maintenance activities. The role involves electrical fault finding, equipment repairs, installation work, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance on production machinery.
- Diagnose and repair faults on motors, drives, control panels, sensors, and industrial equipment.
- Support machinery installations, upgrades, and improvement projects.
- Fault find on PLC-controlled systems and variable speed drives.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations and company procedures.
- Accurately record maintenance activities and provide technical support to production teams.
- Contribute to reliability improvements and downtime reduction initiatives.
Requirements
- Time-served Electrician or Electrical Engineer with an SVQ/NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification desirable.
- Experience with PLCs, automated machinery, and CMMS systems would be advantageous.
