We’re working with a privately owned investment business with a diverse portfolio across the UK and internationally. The organisation operates across sectors including property, drinks, and hospitality, and is seeking a qualified accountant to support its continued growth. This is a broad, hands‑on role offering exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to take ownership of financial processes across multiple entities. The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing the day‑to‑day finance function across a number of group companies, while also supporting commercial decision‑making and operational activities. Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and reconciling financial records across multiple entities (Xero)
- Producing and managing a detailed weekly cashflow forecast, including reforecasting
- Coordinating weekly supplier payment runs for approval
- Submitting VAT returns and overseeing compliance
- Managing payroll processes
- Liaising regularly with internal teams and external stakeholders across the portfolio
- Supporting budgeting and tracking project spend vs. actuals
- Raising and issuing invoices to tenants and related parties
- Responding to ad hoc requests from senior leadership
- Supporting with operational tasks such as insurance renewals
- Assisting with basic HR administration (e.g. contracts, holiday tracking)
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent)
- At least 3 years’ post‑qualification experience
- Experience in property, manufacturing, hospitality, or a multi‑entity environment preferred
- Strong Excel and systems skills (Xero experience advantageous)
- Commercially minded with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with non‑finance stakeholders
- Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to get involved across the business
