Our client is a World leader in their field and they have great opportunities for an experienced Manufacturing/Chemical Process Operator to work with them on ongoing temporary assignment. From time to time there may be opportunities to move from temporary to permanent roles but it is not guaranteed.
Your shifts are likely to be working on a 4 on 4 off Continental shift pattern consisting of 2 x 12 hour day shifts followed by 2 x 12 hour night shifts. This pattern will also involve significant weekend working. Initially you may work on day shift for a week or two for training. This would involve working 07.45 till 16.00 Monday - Thursday and 07.45 -14.30 on Friday.
The successful candidates will ideally have experience of working within a process industry such as Chemical manufacture or Petro-chem industry. Previous background in working in a GMP environment would be beneficial. Due to early shift starts and weekend working requirements own transport is preferred.
While this role is likely to involve working in a highly automated environment, there may still be significant manual handling involved. Candidates will be required to go through a pre-employment medical which will include Drug & Alcohol testing.
