We are recruiting for a Class 1 Walking Floor / Injector Driver and Loader to join a waste management company based in Cumbernauld. This role involves both driving and operating specialist equipment to move and process waste materials. It suits someone practical, safety-focused and comfortable with a mix of driving and on-site duties.
Responsibilities
- Drive a Class 1 walking floor or injector vehicle to transport waste materials
- Operate walking floor and injection equipment safely and efficiently
- Load and unload materials in line with site procedures
- Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks
- Ensure all loads are secure and compliant with legal requirements
- Complete delivery notes and maintain accurate records
- Follow all health and safety guidelines on-site and on the road
- Assist with general site and loading duties when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous walking floor, injector or similar experience preferred
- Good understanding of health and safety within waste or industrial environments
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach
- Flexible attitude to duties and working hours
