Facilities Maintenance Operative

Brightwork are recruiting for this role for our client based in Coatbridge.

This position is to support the Facilities team in maintaining the company's buildings, grounds, equipment and infrastructure by carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fabrication activities and general site improvements.

The role also provides support across other Facilities activities as required, helping to ensure a safe, efficient and well-maintained working environment.

Your Time at Work

Your duties will include

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance tasks
  • Undertaking reactive maintenance and repairs to buildings, facilities and equipment
  • Supporting upkeep of site, including grounds maintenance and landscaping activities
  • Reporting maintenance issues and identifying opportunities for preventative action
  • Assembly and installation of equipment and fixtures across the site
  • Fabrication tasks including welding, grinding, cutting, and other power-tool related tasks
  • Assisting with modifications and repairs where needed
  • Operating forklift trucks to move materials where needed

To be considered for this role you must have

  • Full UK drivers licence
  • Valid Forklift Licence
  • Experience using power and hand-tools
  • Prior experience in a similar maintenance/facilities role

It is desirable that you will have experience welding.
