You will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, components and services to support sitewide manufacturing operations.
An experienced Buyer, your varied duties and responsibilities will include:
- Procurement of a broad range of direct and indirect materials to meet company and client operational requirements
- Procurement of a broad range of direct and indirect materials to meet company targets in relation to quality, cost and delivery
- Developing and maintaining highly effective relationships with suppliers including ensuring most favourable terms are achieved through effective negotiation and relationship development
- Monitor and ensure inventory levels meet production operational requirements.
- Work closely with all stakeholder groups in relation to engineering, production, and quality teams to meet operational requirements.
- Support resolve supply chain issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
An experienced Buyer / Procurement Professional, you will have a wealth of experience undertaking procurement activities to meet all operational requirements within a manufacturing or associated environment – previous experience within the Pharmaceutical, Spirits or FMCG sectors preferred.
You will possess first class communication skills with a proven background in developing robust relationships with a global supply base. You will have excellent systems experience, proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and procurement processes is essential, direct experience with SAP / MRP etc would be highly desirable.
