Join Our Team as a Senior Pensions Finance Analyst

If so, we want to hear from you! Due to growth and demand across our new and existing clients, we are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our Dynamic team.

This role is a pivotal part of the finance team, responsible for overseeing and processing a wide range of financial transactions within the general accounting framework. You will focus on the pensions area of our clients, getting involved in auditing and continuity reporting. Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of all related activities.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Reviewing the daily client funding calculation prepared by the team, providing feedback in support of corrections or omissions in accordance with scheme requirements.
  • Reviewing various client cashflows, control reports and PAYE reconciliations ensuring any errors or issues are identified, resolved and rectified.
  • Reviewing and authorising journals that have been prepared by the team to ensure the system is accurate.
  • Coordinating at an operational level the various internal and external audits ensuring relevant information and documentation is provided to the auditors as per agreed deadlines.
  • Liaising with various third parties including clients, auditors and system providers where necessary in support of the smooth running of the function.
  • In the case of absence, providing cover for the following:
  • Leadership members of the Finance team
  • Accurate input of the daily payments into the accounting and banking systems
  • Preparation of the daily journals
  • Running daily bank reconciliations and investigating any differences
  • Maintaining the various bank accounts in accordance with the client’s requirements
  • Payroll running and other associated payroll activities
  • Other daily and monthly duties
  • Preparing and reviewing various quarterly and annual tasks, as required to meet client requirements and deadlines.
  • Reviewing external correspondence prepared by colleagues making any amendments as appropriate to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

This role would suit someone with:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an accounts function
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of general office working procedures
  • Knowledge of regulatory deadlines and ability to manage and meet set deadlines
  • Ability to produce accurate reporting and show strong levels of attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and organisational skills
  • Good numeracy and literacy, skills
  • Being a team player
  • Desirable experience include experience of dealing with AVC investments, General understanding of pension audit processes and requirements
  • Exercising Initiative, lateral thinking and flexibility and propose practical and realistic recommendations
