We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of a front-to-back investment management platform such as BlackRock Aladdin, SimCorp Dimension, or Charles River. This role requires a highly organised, delivery-driven professional with deep experience in asset management investments, operations, technology integration, and change management within complex institutional environments. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical understanding, stakeholder influence, and strategic execution capability to ensure successful delivery of a mission-critical transformation initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and governance of a multi-workstream platform implementation project (front-office, risk, operations, and data).
  • Own end-to-end delivery: requirements definition, vendor coordination, configuration oversight, testing, migration, and go-live.
  • Drive alignment between business, technology, operations, and vendor teams to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Establish and maintain robust project governance frameworks — RAID logs, steering committee packs, dependency tracking, KPIs, and dashboards.
  • Manage project budgets, resource planning, and timelines, ensuring delivery within agreed scope and quality.
  • Support and influence senior stakeholders, including CIO, COO, Head of Operations, and Risk.
  • Lead the change management effort, ensuring effective communication, adoption, and process redesign.
  • Oversee data migration and integration activities (trading systems, risk engines, accounting platforms, data warehouses).
  • Ensure regulatory and compliance considerations are incorporated into the platform design and deployment.
  • Manage vendor relationships (BlackRock, SimCorp, CRD, implementation partners, and system integrators).
  • Report progress, risks, and key decisions to governance forums and executive sponsors.

Key Skills & Experience

  • 15+ years’ experience in project or programme management within asset management, investment management, or financial services.
  • Proven track record in implementing or upgrading investment platforms such as Aladdin, SimCorp Dimension, Charles River, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of front-to-back investment processes — portfolio management, order management, compliance, risk, performance, accounting, and reporting.
  • Demonstrable experience in complex stakeholder management across business, technology, and vendor domains.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, integration, and migration within investment systems.
  • Exceptional governance, planning, and documentation skills.
  • PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certification or equivalent practical experience with hybrid methodologies.
  • Highly personable with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong vendor management and third-party oversight capabilities.
  • Experience managing cross-functional, multi-geography teams.

Personal Attributes

  • Highly structured, analytical, and results-oriented.
  • Confident in senior stakeholder settings — executive-level credibility.
  • Calm under pressure; proactive risk mitigator.
  • Excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset.
  • Adaptable to fast-changing project priorities and complex environments.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
