I'm currently supporting a rapidly growing energy transition business that is looking to hire a senior electrical engineering professional to become the technical authority across their solar, battery storage and distributed energy portfolio. This is a highly visible role within a scaling organisation, offering the opportunity to take ownership of engineering activities across project development, design review, supplier management, grid connections and project delivery.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Acting as the internal SME for electrical engineering and projects
  • Supporting projects from design through commissioning and energisation
  • Managing technical engagement with DNOs and grid connection stakeholders
  • Reviewing supplier and contractor designs
  • Working closely with project delivery and commercial teams to provide technical guidance
  • Helping establish engineering standards and scalable processes as the business continues to grow

We're particularly interested in speaking with individuals who bring:

  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals
  • BESS experience
  • HV/LV design and engineering expertise
  • UK DNO/grid connection experience
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to operate autonomously
  • Experience within renewable energy, distributed energy, utilities or energy infrastructure environments
