This is an opportunity for purpose driven experts to join a business launching products into multiple sectors globally and commencing a period of growth and change. The company is in transition from an R&D company into a commercial company with continuous R&D and are growing to support and catalyse this change.Responsibilities Provide day to day support for the Engineering design team activities, with particular focus on process design/process engineering.Acting as Process Design lead for site projects and small process changes.Attend regular process design / process change review meetings and provide technical guidance and advice to ensure safe, fit-for-purpose scopes are achieved and subsequently executed.Provide technical solutions for new plant/equipment and revamp of existing plant/equipment to improve functionality, safety and reliability based on approved process designs.Prepare specifications for all new and revamped equipment and provide support for equipment purchases.Evaluate existing process units as a means to support the plant/testing team troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking constraints and improving reliability.Provide plant support when necessary, e.g. installation or change of equipment, operation of equipment.Liaise and work effectively with external engineering resource providers to support the design, deployment and commissioning of the Balance of Plant of the different systems.Engage in the plant safety and the general company safety programmes.Work with Testing Engineers to understand / help resolve upgrades to existing fuel cell systems and design of new fuel cell systemsBackground A degree in Chemical or Process EngineeringSolid experience working in various Process Design Engineering roles in industrial environments.Good understanding of chemical engineering principles in terms of hydraulics, heat transfer, mass transfer, separation processes and control/operation of associated plant.Good knowledge of process equipment and technology, sizing and preparing process equipment specifications and preparing safety critical calculations for protective and control devices.If you are passionate about clean technology and clean energy and enjoy building teams and driving technological change and innovation, please get in touch to discuss this Process Engineer opportunity.
