Environment, Health and Safety Manager

We are supporting a growing industrial technology business in the recruitment of an experienced Operational HSE Manager to join its expanding team.

This is a key operational role with responsibility for developing and maintaining an integrated HSE management system, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and ISO standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, technical and operational teams, while also supporting the development of a new commercial facility and engaging with relevant regulatory stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HSE management systems and processes.
• Lead environmental compliance, permitting and regulatory activities.
• Manage risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Oversee Management of Change and continuous improvement activities.
• Conduct internal audits and support external certification and regulatory audits.
• Develop systems and processes aligned with ISO requirements.
• Deliver HSE training and promote a positive safety culture.
• Support HSE committees, management reviews and performance reporting.
• Provide practical HSE advice and recommendations to senior management.
• Support the future development of laboratory management systems where required.

Experience & Qualifications

• Previous experience in an operational HSE role within an industrial, manufacturing, process or technology environment.
• Experience in Process Safety and Environmental Compliance.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, risk assessment and environmental management systems.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 4501.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 would be advantageous.
• NEBOSH Diploma and IOSH Membership.
• Full, valid driving licence.
