Brightsmith is currently supporting a leading UK hydrogen developer as they enter the next phase of engineering on a flagship project.
As part of this growth, we're looking to appoint an Interim Engineering Manager to join a lean, high-performing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded engineering leader who enjoys taking ownership across technical delivery, project oversight and coordinating multiple workstreams in a fast-moving environment.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, agile organisation, is comfortable wearing multiple hats, and can provide hands-on leadership as the business continues to scale.
(6-12 month contract assignment, with opportunities to work outside IR35).
- Lead engineering activities across a major hydrogen infrastructure project
- Oversee electrolyser supply and service contracts
- Manage ICP procurement and environmental permitting activities
- Take ownership of project scheduling, resourcing and engineering costs
Experience Required: Engineering Manager
- 8+ years' experience delivering large-scale energy infrastructure projects
- Previous experience as an Engineering Manager
- A background in hydrogen, biogas, oil & gas or other complex process industries
- Strong technical leadership with the ability to manage multiple workstreams within a fast-paced project environment
