Interested in leading a team dedicated to tackling some of the climate sector's biggest challenges? As an experienced Engineering Manager, you’ll take ownership of multidisciplinary design efforts (mechanical, electrical, and process engineering), as part of a state-of-the-art team developing a new generation of carbon capture systems.

What’s on offer?

  • The opportunity to lead a talented group of engineers in the design and delivery of cutting-edge, containerised DAC systems, already being deployed in real-world projects across the UK and Europe.
  • A fast-paced, hands-on role where you’ll guide system integration, manage technical risk, and mentor a team solving some of the most urgent challenges in climate hardware.
  • A very competitive compensation package, meaningful equity, and benefits that support long-term growth, in one of the most exciting spaces in clean tech.

The Role

  • Lead a team of ~15 engineers (6–7 direct reports) working across process, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
  • Oversee the technical design of direct air capture systems from R&D through to deployed hardware.
  • Ensure cross-functional integration between engineering disciplines and core scientific principles.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • A background in chemical or process engineering, ideally with experience in sectors like petrochemicals, energy, chemicals, or climate tech.
  • A track record of managing engineering teams, and getting the best out of people.
  • A deep understanding of technical risk in complex hardware or chemical systems — and how to de-risk it.

Bonus: The CTO of this team would love to chat with someone with experience pushing the boundaries in a 'new' technology, however this doesn’t need to be clean tech specifically.
