The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers, working on complex technical challenges and supporting the transition of novel electrochemical solutions from research through to commercial deployment.

What you’ll be doing:
- Design, execute, and analyse electrochemical experiments to support technology development.
- Apply techniques including cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), chronoamperometry, and chronopotentiometry.
- Develop and optimise electrochemical systems, materials, and processes.
- Interpret experimental data and communicate findings through technical reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and external partners to deliver project objectives.
- Support scale-up activities and technology transfer from laboratory research through to commercial implementation.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
What we are looking for:
- Essential: MSc or PhD in Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong hands-on experience with electrochemical testing and characterisation techniques.
- Experience designing experiments and analysing complex datasets.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strongly desirable: Experience in areas such as batteries, fuel cells, electrolysers, electrocatalysis, corrosion science, carbon capture, or energy storage technologies.
- Knowledge of materials characterisation techniques.
- Experience with data analysis and modelling tools such as Python, MATLAB, or Origin.
- Experience in industrial R&D, scale-up, or technology commercialisation environments.
