Bright Path Recruitment is delighted to be working with an established care home in St Andrews, Fife, to recruit an exceptional Care Home Manager.
We're looking for someone who brings more than just management experience. We want a confident, proactive and passionate leader who genuinely cares about the people they support, takes pride in running a successful home and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in managing large care homes, who thrives in a busy environment and knows how to balance excellent care with strong operational performance.
What you'll be doing
- Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and smooth running of a large care home.
- Leading, supporting and developing a multidisciplinary team, creating a positive and supportive working environment.
- Maintaining exceptional standards of resident care, safety and wellbeing.
- Overseeing operational performance, staffing, budgets and compliance.
- Ensuring the home meets Care Inspectorate requirements and maintains high standards across all areas.
- Building strong relationships with residents, families, staff and external healthcare professionals.
- Being a visible, hands-on leader who is actively involved in the home rather than managing solely from behind a desk.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and proactively implementing positive changes.
Who we're looking for
We're particularly interested in speaking with individuals who have:
- Registered Nurse qualification with current NMC registration.
- Proven experience managing a large care home, ideally with responsibility for a substantial team and complex operations.
- Strong operational and commercial awareness, with the ability to manage budgets, staffing and performance.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to make decisions.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and bring out the best in others.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care and creating a welcoming environment for residents and families.
- A warm, approachable personality and a willingness to be present and involved in the day-to-day running of the home.
