About the role

You will be a senior business partner within the Corporate Finance Team, leading the provision of finance support for the council's £250 million Capital Programme. You will provide expert technical advice for new and ongoing projects and support the council’s Capital Programme Board in making recommendations to Cabinet, working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and monitor the council’s Capital Strategy and Capital Investment Programme in line with the Council Plan and Medium Term Financial Strategy.
  • Provide expert technical capital accounting and funding advice on a wide range of projects.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of funding & capital accounting within the final accounts.
  • Manage a small team in line with our ambition to be a fair and inclusive workplace.
