This role provides 12‑month maternity cover for the Head of Finance team supporting Housing, Care and Wellbeing. You will oversee a net budget of £120m and lead the financial planning and delivery of key services such as Adult Social Care, Homelessness and the Housing division.

  • Salary: £68,949 – £75,505
  • Contract: 37 hours, flexible work basis

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and delivery of the organisation’s key financial objectives and outcomes.
  • Provide strategic financial planning and advice to front‑facing services, and contribute to the overall performance and sustainability of the Financial team.
  • Produce, manage and monitor large and complex budgets.
  • Advise service delivery teams on financial planning and respond to service needs.
  • Communicate financial information clearly and accessibly to a wide range of audiences.
  • Use spreadsheets and financial systems to support effective financial management and reporting.
  • Build inclusive working relationships across teams and services.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification in finance/accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar senior finance leadership role.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
