We are seeking an inspirational, creative and collaborative leader to join Central Hub Brighton as Interim Head of School for the Connected Hub. This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role within the city’s alternative provision, working in close partnership with the Head Teacher to transform outcomes for young people at a crucial stage in their education.

About the Role

Central Hub Brighton is the Local Authority’s Alternative Provision, providing support across three key stages and four sites, including:

  • The Pupil Referral Unit (PRU), working across KS2 to 4 on a variety of short and longer term programmes.
  • The Connected Hub, supporting Year 11 students to re-engage, achieve their GCSEs, and move successfully into their next phase.

Our work is underpinned by a trauma-informed, attachment-aware approach, supporting young people with SEMH.

The Role

As Head of School, you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Connected Hub
  • Contribute strategically to the wider organisation
  • Inspire and develop a committed staff team
  • Deliver a creative and inclusive curriculum
  • Ensure every young person is supported to succeed
