We're looking for a hands-on, high-energy Bar Manager to oversee the bar operation, lead the team and help deliver one of Brighton's most exciting hospitality experiences. As Bar Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of multiple bar operations across the venue, leading the team through busy services while ensuring exceptional drinks, service and guest experience at all times.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing daily bar operations and confidently running busy shifts
- Leading, developing and motivating the bar team
- Ensuring cocktail quality, spec knowledge and service standards are consistently high
- Supporting stock control, ordering and labour management
- Driving sales, profitability and guest experience
- Creating a positive, energetic and high-performing team culture
- Supporting events, seasonal trading peaks and high-volume services
- Maintaining licensing, compliance and health & safety standards
- Acting as a role model for bartenders, bar backs and floor teams
Qualifications
- Experience in a senior bar or leadership role
- Strong cocktail and drinks knowledge
- Confidence managing busy services and high-volume trade
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting rotas, labour control and stock management
- Knowledge of licensing, risk assessments and health & safety
- A hands-on leadership style with great floor presence
- Energy, personality and the ability to stay calm under pressure
