We're looking for a hands-on, high-energy Bar Manager to oversee the bar operation, lead the team and help deliver one of Brighton's most exciting hospitality experiences. As Bar Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of multiple bar operations across the venue, leading the team through busy services while ensuring exceptional drinks, service and guest experience at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily bar operations and confidently running busy shifts
  • Leading, developing and motivating the bar team
  • Ensuring cocktail quality, spec knowledge and service standards are consistently high
  • Supporting stock control, ordering and labour management
  • Driving sales, profitability and guest experience
  • Creating a positive, energetic and high-performing team culture
  • Supporting events, seasonal trading peaks and high-volume services
  • Maintaining licensing, compliance and health & safety standards
  • Acting as a role model for bartenders, bar backs and floor teams

Qualifications

  • Experience in a senior bar or leadership role
  • Strong cocktail and drinks knowledge
  • Confidence managing busy services and high-volume trade
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting rotas, labour control and stock management
  • Knowledge of licensing, risk assessments and health & safety
  • A hands-on leadership style with great floor presence
  • Energy, personality and the ability to stay calm under pressure
