We’re looking for a Water Safety and Legionella Compliance Manager to join our dedicated Property & Design team. You’ll play a pivotal role in keeping our city’s buildings safe, compliant, and fit for purpose - where thousands of people live, work, and learn every day.
About the role
- Lead on water safety and legionella compliance across a large and varied property portfolio (350+ active buildings and 1,000+ passive sites).
- Develop and implement proactive risk management programmes to eliminate or reduce risks.
- You will hold delegated authority as the 'Responsible Person' and act as the subject matter expert for the management and control of legionella bacteria providing advice to internal and external stakeholders on the delivery of the Council's legal mandate.
- Collaborate with contractors, building users, and colleagues to deliver value-for-money solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Monitor statutory testing, audits, and KPIs to ensure total building compliance.
- Drive a positive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset across the organisation.
