Permanent role within City Infrastructure, reporting to the Service Director. Location: Hove Town Hall, Norton Road, Hove, BN3 3BQ.

Salary: £68,949 – £75,505. Contractual hours: 37. Basis: Flexi Hours.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Transport Policy & Projects team, working across City Infrastructure and City Operations directorate.
  • Ensuring delivery of the new sustainable Transport Plan through capital transport projects.
  • Reducing harmful emissions from transport by encouraging sustainable bus operations.
  • Delivering the Bus Service Improvement Plan.
  • Protecting and restoring the city's coastal and seafront highway infrastructure.
  • Delivering the flood management strategy.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive experience managing transport policy and projects, with a proven track record of delivering projects, managing significant budgets and framework contracts.
  • Sound understanding of regulatory frameworks and statutory functions within City Infrastructure.
  • Practical experience of procurement and contract management.
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, influencing, advocating, and brokering agreement.
  • Basic DBS check required.
