Location: Hove Town Hall, Norton Road, Hove, BN3 3BQ.
Salary: £44,075 - £47,181 per annum.
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week.
Job description
Join Brighton & Hove council as a Drainage Engineer, responsible for designing, delivering and managing the city’s drainage network. Your role will support the highway network and ensure it meets the needs of diverse communities through specialist engineering expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and oversee the design and implementation of drainage projects and repair works.
- Manage the revenue and capital drainage budgets, reporting any issues to the Highway Operations Manager.
- Proactively anticipate, consider, and identify improvements to managing the drainage system.
- Procure work through the NEC Highway Framework Contract.
- Actively engage with stakeholders, community groups, residents and local businesses on revenue and capital schemes.
- Support the Asset team in improving and maintaining the drainage network.
