We are looking for a skilled Plasterer to join our Housing Repairs & Maintenance team. You will carry out high-quality plastering repairs and refurbishment work across occupied council properties, ensuring excellent customer service and full compliance with safety, quality, and cost standards. This is a hands-on role where you'll work both independently and as part of a multi-trade team, delivering efficient, first-time fixes wherever possible.   • Complete plastering repairs and refurbishment works to a high standard
  • Carry out fault finding, maintenance, and installations with a focus on first-time completion
  • Work safely in line with all Health & Safety and council procedures
  • Provide a professional, customer-focused service in occupied homes
  • Maintain accurate records of work, materials, and risk assessments
  • Support apprentices or labourers where required
  • Ensure vehicles, tools, and materials are properly maintained and used responsibly

  • be healthy and psychologically safe You will hold a City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plastering with proven experience in plastering within repairs, maintenance, or construction., We're seeking a reliable and professional individual who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship, values customer satisfaction, and works safely at all times. Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is term-time only. For part time applicants, where your working week is less than the council's basic 37 hour week, contracted overtime rated pay will not form part of your working hours. This is because overtime rated pay is payable for hours worked more than the council's basic 37 hour week. Your starting salary will be pro rata based on the basic annual salary elements of pay between Β£32,061 & Β£33,699. Please note that this post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Criminal Records Check. Team and service working arrangements are designed to support both employee work life balance and team collaboration. These would be part of your individual working arrangements alongside any personal preference agreed with your manager in advance of joining. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
