Nursery Administrator

Salary £27,254 - £27,694 (Pro Rata for < 37 hours or term‑time only). Contractual hours: 37; Basis: Fixed Hours. Contract type: Permanent. This position is located at Bright Start Nursery Tarner Family Hub, Ivory Place, Brighton, BN2 9QE.

Job Responsibilities

  • Experience in a fast‑paced office environment where work priorities can change.
  • Handle information with the highest level of professional discretion following GDPR and safeguarding protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, with good attention to detail. Greeting visitors, managing incoming calls, emails, and impromptu visits for advice, signposting and directing people to the service they need.
  • Strong skills in finance and ICT packages. A huge part of the role is creating and processing invoices and managing nursery funding and preparing reports.
  • General office management: setting up meetings, booking rooms, ordering equipment and groceries, organising both digital and physical filing systems including nursery management software for admissions and attendance.
