About the Role

Senior Administrator – SEN

Patcham High School is seeking to appoint a highly organised and proactive Senior Administrator – SEN to support our Special Educational Needs Team.

Required to start 1 September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The working pattern is 37 hours per week, 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday – Thursday and 08:00 – 15:30 on Friday. Term time plus two additional weeks. Salary: LGA Scale 5, points 13-17. Full-time salary £29,064 - £31,022; actual salary £26,470 - £28,253. This Is a Fixed Term contract running until 31st August 2026.

The successful candidate will have significant administrative experience, preferably within an educational or SEND environment, together with excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCPs and school systems would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and confidential SEND records and databases.
  • Coordinate annual reviews, EHCP consultations and SEND meetings.
  • Prepare SEND documentation, referrals, assessments and statutory paperwork.
  • Act as the main administrative contact for parents, carers, staff and external agencies.
  • Support SEND reporting, data analysis and examination access arrangements.
  • Manage departmental communications and the SENDCo inbox.
