About the role
Our IT & Digital Enterprise Application Portfolio (EAP) Team is part of the Orbis Partnership, bringing together East Sussex County Council, Surrey County Council and Brighton & Hove City Council to deliver greater value through shared people, resources and technology. The team supports a range of critical IT & Digital applications across the partnership, including the IT Service Management (ITSM) system that underpins IT service delivery. We are seeking two individuals on twelve-month secondments, from across the Orbis Partnership, to support the development and implementation of a new ITSM platform. These roles will focus on translating business and service requirements into effective ITSM solutions aligned to organisational objectives and ITIL best practice.
You will work with core ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change and Request Management, designing/adapting, configuring and optimising workflows to improve service quality and operational efficiency. Working closely with the existing Cherwell Applications Consultant and key stakeholders, you will configure and customise the ITSM platform, develop automation and integrations with existing council systems, and attend supplier-led training to build in-house capability and reduce reliance on external support.
This secondment offers a valuable development opportunity to strengthen technical ITSM and ITIL knowledge, gain hands-on experience of enterprise system configuration, and contribute to continuous service improvement within a complex, multi-organisation environment.

Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only. There is the option for the suitable candidate to choose to work mostly from home. Attendance at the office with reasonable notice would be required on occasion. This notice would be subject to local team and service working arrangements. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
