You can read about them on our Why work for us pages., You will provide business and administration support to the Brighton & Hove Safegaudring Children Partnership (BHSCP), ensuring effective delivery of partnership priorities and our safeguarding activity. You will act as a key point of contact, providing timely information and administrative support to partners and stakeholders while responding flexibly to changing service demands., You will be part of a small business unit responsible for the organisation and support the delivery of the safeguarding children partnership activity - this will include :

  • attending multi-agency meetings,
  • project work linked to subgroup activity, independent scrutiny, service delivery including anti-racist practice and poverty-aware practice,
  • responding to enquiries from the public and stakeholders,
  • working closely with the Partnership Coordinator with the administration of the BHSCP learning & devlopment programme.

You will need to be flexible and be able to adapt to changing priorities and sometimes challenging confidential situations, and able to communicate in a clear and concise manner verbally and in writing. You will receive regular feedback and learning and development opportunities including access to safeguarding children training. You will work closely with a wide range of partners from statutory and non-statutory agencies locally and in Sussex. You will also have the opportunity to be part of our scrutiny project supporting Young Scrutineers. Encouraging a diverse workforce Our city is known and loved for its diversity. Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Team and service working arrangements are designed to support both employee work life balance and team collaboration. These would be part of your individual working arrangements alongside any personal preference agreed with your manager in advance of joining. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
