Salary: £27,254 – £27,694 pro rata + Special Schools Allowance

Contract: Fixed term until 31 August 2027

Hours: 24 hours per week (part‑time; 4 days a week, agreed with Head of Site)

Paid weeks per year: 47.36 (incl. holiday entitlement)

Start date: September 2026

Location: Hill Park Special School – Portslade site, Foredown Road, Portslade, BN41 2FU

Hill Park School is a three‑site special school for pupils aged 4‑16 with a range of additional needs, including moderate (MLD), severe (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and autism spectrum conditions (ASC). The Secondary team at the Portslade site will be supported by a Grade B Teaching Assistant, working four days a week (hours to be agreed).

About the Role

The role will include intimate care; full training will be provided. The successful candidate will be able to adapt skills and be flexible and resilient.
