About the role: Hill Park School is a three‐site special school for pupils aged 4–16 with varying learning difficulties. We are looking to appoint an Assistant Caretaker to join our Premises Team at the Secondary site in Portslade.
Responsibilities
- Assist with cleanliness, security and maintenance of the school site and minibus.
- Perform general building maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, basic electrics) and DIY repairs.
- Support premises issues and work proactively within the team.
- Ensure health and safety requirements are met.
- Provide daily interaction with pupils.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience with building maintenance and general DIY skills.
- Working knowledge of health and safety requirements.
- Full, clean driving licence with D1 entitlement desirable.
- Flexibility to adjust hours as required.
- Proactive, flexible and able to work well within a team.
