Technical & Administrative Clerk in the Planning & Building Control team. You will support the team in processing planning and building control enquiries and applications, ensuring timely delivery of statutory services and contributing to excellent customer experience.

  • Hours: 37 hours per week (Flexi Hours)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and administrative support to the Planning & Building Control team
  • Prepare and process invoices, payments and financial records
  • Produce clear, accurate correspondence and legal notices
  • Respond to customer and professional enquiries by phone and in person
  • Maintain records, spreadsheets and databases
  • Support meetings, performance reporting and statutory returns

Qualifications and Experience

  • Customer‑focused approach with strong attention to detail
  • Experience in an administrative or technical support role
  • Confidence using digital tools and willingness to adopt new processes
  • Strong organisational, communication and numerical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in Planning & Building Control, construction or with technical drawings is an advantage but not essential

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the position is less than 37 hours or term‑time only. Travel to and from your contractual location is at your own expense.
