Salary: £27,254 – £27,694 pro rata (FTE 0.4865)

Contractual hours: 18 per week (Flexi Hours)

Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking an enthusiastic administrator to work alongside the surveyors who manage the commercial property owned by the Council, including the properties on the seafront at beach level.
  • As an organised and effective team player, you will provide a range of administrative duties including raising purchase orders and processing invoices using the Council’s finance system, maintaining property records and databases, and working with spreadsheets and document‑management systems.
  • You will provide a helpful manner and good interpersonal skills for dealing with customer enquiries in an inclusive way.
  • Ideally you will have an interest in property and a willingness to learn how we manage the portfolio of beach chalets and waiting lists.
  • With training provided, this may include arranging viewings, inspections on site and reminders to chalet tenants on decoration and maintenance.
  • As part of a small, committed and sociable property team, your work will be varied, valued and well supported.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with finance systems, purchase orders and invoice processing.
  • Strong record‑keeping and database skills, with proficiency in spreadsheets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work autonomously within a team.
  • Willingness to learn about the portfolio of beach chalets, letting process and tenant management.
